How does Peer Points Manager work?
Peer Points Manager meters licensed files (Gold Icon) uploaded by users who have chosen to collect Peer Points for sharing content, and enables them to directly redeem points for content or enter sweepstakes for prizes.
What are the Gold Icon files?
Gold Icon files are licensed digital rights managed (DRM) files produced by a variety of professional content providers and creators. These include music, video games, software and videos provided directly by emerging artists, record labels, video game publishers, movie studios, producers and developers. When a Gold Icon appears next to a file in Kazaa Media Desktop search results, it signifies a licensed DRM file located through Altnet's TopSearch index. Most licensed files are free to trial and some are free to use.
