Sharman Networks partnered with Altnet, a subsidiary of Brilliant Digital Entertainment, to create a solution to monetize peer-to-peer technology. Using Altnet’s Topsearch Technology, users of the Kazaa application can access digital media in accordance with terms and prices set by owners of the offered works. Altnet provides the Peer Points Manager application within Kazaa which incentivizes users to share licensed content by rewarding them for accumulated points.
